Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah is the overwhelming favourites to win the Premier League Golden Boot this season after a blistering start. The Egyptian scored ten goals in his first eleven (11) matches including a run of nine goals inseven matches. Mo Salah was able to find the back of the net in seven successive games including a treble in the phenomenal 5-0 away win over arch rivals Manchester United last month. The Liverpool talisman became the first visiting player to score three goals at the Theatre of Dreams in the Premier League era, while the likes of Diogo Jota and Naby Keita were also on the scoresheet for the Reds.
Apart from Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota and substitute Takumi Minamino also scored for Liverpool as they maintained their five-point deficit to Chelsea at the summit. With the win, Liverpool also reclaimed third place from West Ham United who were beaten 1-0 at Wolves.
Senegalese international Mane was on target against the Gunners as revealed earlier thus taking his league tally to seven goals. He has the same number of goals as the abovementioned Vardy.
Jamaican national team star Michail Antonio has scored just once in the last five league games for West Ham United and he has been stuck on six league goals for a while as a result.
